22 Ways to Photograph Your Best Friend

Written by Sasha Bell

If you have seen our large collection of portraits, then you will probably have seen how we like to include animals into them too – dogs can be such a wonderful addition to portraits of people! Our lovely golden retriever Dancer and our two whippets, Foxtrot and Tango, feature in them heavily!

We love to combine portraits and dogs together as they usually always add such a playful and happy feeling to each portrait. After we took a couple of these portraits and learnt how to get our dogs and the model to look good together at the same time which is the more changeling part of it (practice, practice, practice…!), we took quite a lot!

It becomes really addictive and we then got more creative and experimented with different poses and angles and even incorporated them in our jump photographs as well!

Have a look at the collection of portraits below to see how many different ways you can take portraits and incorporate dogs (or other animals) into your portrait photography.
