For the last few weeks I have been thinking about starting a new photography project and also trying to decide what kind of project to do.
Having already completed two separate 365 projects, I felt I wanted to try something else… and after a lot of thought, I finally set my heart on a unique “260 Days of Photography Project”!
260 Days of Photography: What’s it all about?
The project is quite similar to a 365 Project, minus the weekends – so what I’ll be doing is, taking a photograph every day during the week; Monday-Friday, for a whole year.
This gives me time on the weekends to do other things, and focus on photography during the week – while at the same time still really building up a huge portfolio.
That’s what I love about these big projects – you get to make a commitment, to do something often, and this really helps build a portfolio that you can be immensely proud of. I have no idea where I would be with my photography if it weren’t for this project, and others like it.
So… without further ado, lets take a look at the first of many photographs to come in my new 260 Days of Photography Project!
So, if you’re like me, and you want to build up your photography portfolio, challenge yourself, and give yourself an opportunity to try new things, then I cannot recommend a photography project more.
Whether you want to take on the big challenge of a 365 Days Project, or so
a project little less time-consuming, such as a 260 Days Project, or 52 Days Project… it’s all possible!
If you’re looking for help, and advice on how to go about doing one of these projects, and all the many things you should, and should not do, how to get through a long and lengthy project, while still staying inspired, plus all the many important tips and things we’ve learnt over the course of many 365 projects, then I highly recommend you grab your copy of “How To: 365 Photography Project” eBook.
This will really help you to avoid those sticky situations when you have no clue what to do, or what the best composition is, or what to photograph, or how to photograph something. It’s a complete guide to photography, and a challenging project.
